This is my least favorite Zindel book, primarily because the lead character, a girl wizard named Sibella Cametta, appears so hopeless. She's a mechanical genius who's more comfortable around tools than people and, based on an ad in a local paper, decides that a boy named Dan (an auto mechanic) is the man of her dreams and she goes to great lengths to get him/5(2).

This book is an embarrassment to women, especially teen girls. A smart, well-educated 15 year old girl, who has a whole life in front of her & a great savings account to help her future, basically gives it all up for a waste of space drunken 19 year old boy, who uses her in the end/5.
